Why do you need real estate agent classes?  The first step to becoming a real estate agent is having the proper training and licenses to be certified in the state that you would like to conduct business in.  Real estate laws vary from state to state, but one thing is common between all states: all require new real estate agents to take real estate agent classes to become certified.

How many real estate agent classes do I need to take?

Again, the answer to this question varies state by state; however, in most instances, states require that real estate agents have anywhere between forty and ninety hours of specific real estate coursework.  The real estate agent classes are followed up with a state examination that determines whether or not you are licensed and certified in that particular state.   Each state has their own custom test that they require real estate agents to pass in order to be certified.  There are some states that have reciprocal agreements, so that a real estate agent may conduct business in both states so long as they are certified in one.

What types of real estate agent classes are there?

As with any type of education, there are several ways to become a licensed real estate agent.  One of the most common ways most people are becoming certified is through their local community college.  Most community colleges offer courses on the nights and weekends for those who have a busy work schedule.  Also, because these classes are spread out over a period of time, the classes are affordable.  If you would like to learn at your own pace, more and more real estate agents are turning to online classes real estate classes (fill out the form for more info, only takes a minute).  There is also the old fashioned way, pick up, or order a few books online.
